#OUR REFLECTIONS ON THE SIXTH IPW REFLECTION - 8:56 PM
These are the reflections on the sixth IPW class:Low San Zeng (21):
On the 6th week of grace, we were asked by the teacher to choose one of the ideas we had. Of course, we had chosen the can opener, which we were going to design. It is easy to create, as the materials we needed were cheap and easy to find. Our teacher asked us to sketch all the idea we had in a 3D-dimension picture. We had to draw the top, the center and the bottom of it. We divided ourselves to sketch out the design we had in mind.
Ng Guan Wei (22):
During the 6th lesson, we were called to draw a 3D figure of the object that we are making. We drew the top cover, the sides and the bottom. We sketched out the can and everything and then chosen the cheapest and easiest to find materials. We drew a can with a slider as an opener.
Terry Ng Hou Jin (23):
The sixth lesson of IPW, we chose our project proposal and decided on that idea. It is a simple aluminum can that does not have a opener. Instead, we decide to fix a slider at the top of the can so that when we cannot finish the drink, we can slide the metal piece to cover back the hole and leave the drink for later. I think this idea is good and simple and also environment-friendly.

#OUR REFLECTIONS ON THE FIFTH IPW LESSON - 8:27 PM
These are the reflections for the fifth IPW lesson:Low San Zeng (21):
On the 5th lesson of grace, we continue our topic on the can opener, which I suggested last week. We spoke each turn regarding the can opener. How we should make it, how it will benefit others, and why people would want to buy it. I suggested that people would want to buy it as it is pollution-free, cheap and easy to use. Others members of my group suggested different ideas and we agreed on each other.
Ng Guan Wei (22):
On the 5th IPW class, we set our target on the can opener, making it environmental-friendly, and using cheap materials for example aluminium to make the new cap. The new cap will consist of a slider, which can slide to open the can and slide to close the can, making the person who drinks it open the can with lesser effort, and allowing him/her to slide the cap back if he/she cannot finish the drink. Most people hate spilling can drinks over, especially on carpeted floors. So if the can topples over, the drink will not be spilled.
Terry Ng Hou Jin (23):
This is the fifth week we are having our IPW lesson. So far, our progress was good. Everyone was co-operative with one another. I feel that working in a group is fun because we can exchange ideas with one another and also we can contribute to the project. For this lesson, Mr Ganesh was not in school so a relief teacher took us for the whole period. We did the worksheet we downloaded and brainstormed about the ideas. However, we could not think of any ideas.
Nicholas Teo Shao Wei (24):
After attending today’s lesson, which is already the 5th lesson, I didn’t really learn much. Mr Ganesh is not here again and a relief teacher came to relief. The teacher is friendly but did not teach so we just used our macbooks to study ourselves and guan wei helped to post our previous reflections. Although the relief teacher did not teach, she will answer any questions we would like to ask.

#OUR REFLECTIONS ON THE SECOND IPW LESSON - 11:49 AM
these are the reflections on the second IPW lesson we had.
Low San Zeng (21):
For todays's lesson, I learned how to brainstorm for ideas, how to plan my project planner and how to get my material from. I learnt that i must find both primary and secondary sources for the project. Brainstorming is a situation wen a group of people meets to generate new ideas. I learnt to do a rough draft for the planner fot the project. My group and I suggested some idea and wrote them down in the planner A and B. We classify the ideas together and decided the best one out of them.
Ng Guan Wei (22):
During the second lesson, we sat at the open plaza, and viewed the powerpoint and Nicholas thought of a very good idea. He thought of making a solar powered robot that can pick up litter. We concluded that that idea is workable.
Terry Ng Hou Jin (23):
This is our second lesson in IPW group work. However, Mr Ganesh was not around so we joined Ms Latha's group. It was also very interesting. We had our IPW lesson at the open plaza. Our group's "Idea Man", Nicholas thought of a very interesting idea that is user-friendly and also energy-saving. Good Job Nick! As the encourager, I should give praise to good ideas like what the powerpoint has stated. I hope we can continue to be co-operative in the future. Blizzard Storm all the way!!
Nicholas Teo Shao Wei (24):
After attending today's 35 minutes IPW lesson, I feel that it was an interesting one. I learnt to cooperate with my group members, which will help to boost my communication skills. Although our Teacher-In-Charge, Mr Ganesh, was not around, we continued to generate ideas together with Mrs Latha's group. While we are brainstorming, I thought of an idea that may be workable. A robot that uses solar energy to clear litter. It is energy saving and can also help to reduce pollution.

#OUR REFLECTIONS ON THE FIRST IPW LESSON - 7:00 PM
These are the reflections done by each of our group members
Low San Seng:
On the first day of the grace project, our teacher is Mr. Ganesh and he told us what to do for the grace project. He gave us some ideas and asked my group to decide who to be the idea man, the leader, the note taker and the resources guy. He said that our roles might change every time. After talking, he let us decide what we were going to do. My group decided on the group name and roles. I was the resources guy. Mr Ganesh asked us to suggest five ideas for the grace project. We thought of some creative ideas that no one had mentioned before. The grace project will help to boost my teamwork and mind thinking.
Ng Guan Wei:
During the first day of the grace lesson, Mr Ganesh briefed us on what we are supposed to do, the roles and what is going on. Then he let us do our own discussion and think of five ideas that are totally fresh, that no one had thought before. As a leader, i realised that my role wasn't easy. The term 'Leader' just means that he is a person that can lead the group, and he should do everything to his best and put his heart and soul into it. So, I have to really brainstorm to think of the best and releastic ideas to fulfill my job as a leader, and as a councillor.
Terry Ng Hou Jin:
I feel that the first lesson of IPW was very interesting because we get to choose our roles and we brainstorm about our ideas together as one group of four. Our IPW Teacher-in-charge was Mr Ganesh. He is a very nice teacher and he briefs us clearly about what we will be expecting and the school will be expecting for this project. he also answers our questions in a friendly tone. My group members are Ng Guan Wei, Nicholas Teo and Low San Zeng. The three of them are very co-operative with me and we also work very well together. We would help each other in ideas when one does not have any. I hope we can continue this way for the rest of our IPW lessons together.
Nicholas Teo Shao Wei:
After attending today's IPW lesson, I have learnt how to communicate with my friends in a proper way. In the 35 mins, our group found jobs for our members so that we can do our work in a faster and more efficient way. We brainstormed on ideas of how to change the earth to a better one. I think this program is very useful as we can learn many useful things.
